Remember when I had a ridiculous beard whilst in Ecuador?

I videotaped myself shaving it into a smaller more respectable beard.

To be honest, I really don’t know who this appeals to or whether or not it is enjoyable.

I imagine the demographics this may appeal to are:

1) Ladies interested in what it looks like to trim a beard.. as their current boyfriends don’t have beards…. this upsets this demographic very much as they love beards so very much.

2) Gentlemen looking to pick up some tips on how to tame their face.

Why the plastic bag ban's a sham

I’m all for conservation of resources, but I agree with Peter Gorrie on this one - the plastic bag ban in Toronto is ridiculous.  People don’t use less bags, they just acquire them in different ways.

The article raises many points supporting this argument, although I think the following is particularly telling:  Ireland has a 36 cent bag tax, but “even with it, the country imported more bags last year than in 2002, when the tax came into effect.”

Sarah Palin JUST announced that she is stepping down early as governor of Alaska.  This is her press conference.  Watch it.  

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS WOMAN?!  Never have I ever heard more bullshit buzzwords leave one person’s mouth.  What was she even talking about up there?  If the video was not titled “Palin stepping down…” I would have no idea that’s what’s going on.  Also, who is the camera man?  Is he/she drunk?

THE TRUTH ABOUT BANANA CHIPS! Tonight, after polishing off about 100 delicious banana disks, I decided to google them to determine their nutritional value.  I know these things are deep fried, but I don’t think I was prepared for this news.  I mean, a C grade?!  Why does everything delicious have to be bad for you?  And I know what you’re thinking: “Matt, they’re fine, just enjoy in moderation”.   NO.

Grizzly Bear - Veckatimest This is Grizzly Bear’s third album and I think it’s really good.  It reminds me a ton of old, old Genesis.  The guitar in Southern Point sounds like it could have been written by Anthony Phillips or Steve Hackett.  Apparently Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead said on their last tour that Grizzly Bear is his favourite band.  This is a good album. Check out a few songs here.
